About The Stan Bowley Trust

The Stan Bowley Trust was founded by Alan "Stan" Bowley, his family and friends following Stan's own cancer journey.
After being told his nerve sheath tumour was inoperable with just two years to live, Stan discovered CyberKnife—a pioneering robotic radiotherapy treatment. With incredible support from family, friends and colleagues who raised £40,000, Stan travelled to Washington D.C. for the treatment, which successfully eliminated his tumour and gave him precious extra years with his wife and their three young children.
Before his passing, Stan established this trust to ensure others wouldn't have to travel across the world for life-changing treatment. His vision was to bring CyberKnife technology to the UK, making this innovative cancer treatment accessible to all who need it.
Today, we continue Stan's mission by raising awareness and funds for CyberKnife treatment. Thanks to our work, this groundbreaking technology is now available at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, where over 3,000 patients have received the same life-changing care that gave Stan those invaluable extra years with his family.
We organise fundraising events, provide vital information to patients and families, and work tirelessly to expand access to this sub-millimetre precision radiotherapy that can target previously untreatable tumours.
