About Refugees at Home
Refugees at Home is dedicated to the prevention of homelessness for those claiming asylum or with refugee status by offering temporary placements within our volunteer hosts' homes. We recruit and support volunteer hosts with a spare room and willing to offer a temporary home to a person (or family) in need. We carefully match each guest and host, assess and prepare them ready for each placement - including advice on arrangements and accommodation - and provide ongoing support to hosts throughout each stay. We also help guests with moving-on support, including hosing. We work across all four nations of the UK and to date have provided safety and sanctuary with over 700,000 nights of accommodation.
