About Carers UK
Carers UK was founded in 1965 to support people who provide unpaid care to a loved one who may be older, disabled or seriously ill. There are currently up to 5.7 million unpaid carers across the UK, and we aim to provide unpaid carers with the support they need, regardless of their loved one’s medical condition or how long they need support for. We know that looking after someone can be a rewarding experience, but it can also be tough, lonely, and bewildering. Carers UK aims to ensure that no one has to care alone. We are here to listen, to give expert information and guidance, and to champion carers rights.
