About Kiya Survivors

Kiya Survivors aims to provide a new beginning for children and young people in Peru, who have learning difficulties or disabilities, have been abused or abandoned and are living in high risk situations or poverty. We help them gain independence through education and therapy, love and laughter.

Kiya Survivors works alongside local authorities to help instigate change in areas such as appropriate special needs services, support in local schools and workplaces and encouraging the integration of children born to be different so they can thrive in their communities and homes.

Kiya Survivors currently runs a therapy and outreach programme in Mancora, a small fishing village in the Piura district in the North of Peru, providing vital support to vulnerable children and families.

Kiya Survivors also sponsors a family of 4 siblings with living costs, educational and medical needs in Cuzco as they begin to discover their independence after living under Kiya supervision until May 2020.

Due to COVID-19, Kiya Survivors is currently providing life boxes containing essentials such as medicine, food, milk and nappies to our families in need of urgent support in Mancora, who have lost their jobs and are struggling to survive these difficult times.
