About Feed the Birds
Feed the Birds is a unique befriending scheme for bird and nature lovers. Trained volunteers visit clients in Shropshire who are lonely or socially isolated, providing and maintaining a bird feeding station. Studies show that birds and nature can greatly reduce depression, anxiety and stress and the benefits of a weekly visit by a Feed the Birds volunteer has been shown to deliver significant health, economic and social benefits.
