About City of Plymouth Theatre Company
Plymouth Theatre Company is an amateur theatre company based at Devonport Playhouse, Plymouth who perform musical theatre productions during the year and also train youngsters in the art of theatre. The company owns the Devonport Playhouse a converted Methodist chapel which has been our home for over 30 years and this building has stood the test of time since the 50s. Apart from our arrival, the building has not had major investment into the infrastructure for many years. With all theatres being affected by covid, grant funding was in great demand and despite many funding applications we were unsuccessful.
We will be back on stage next March when we reopen the Devonport Playhouse with our production of Shrek the musical!
