British Hen Welfare Trust The British Hen Welfare Trust (BHWT) is a national charity founded in 2005 to rescue commercial laying hens at the end of their farm lives. Since then, we have rehomed over one million hens, giving them a safe, free-range retirement. We work closely with farmers, vets, government bodies and schools to promote higher welfare standards and to educate the public about the benefits of free-range eggs.
£6 covers everything a commercial hen needs for her journey to a loving home — secure transport, nutritious feed, cosy bedding and vital veterinary checks.
