Action for Sustainable Communities Foundation ASC was founded in 2021 to help some of the world’s poorest communities lift themselves out of extreme poverty through better education, healthcare, and skills. Our first major initiative is the Thitimira Community Secondary School in the Mzimba region of Malawi—one of the country’s poorest areas. Thanks to generous support, we have funded four classrooms, eight teachers’ houses, a girls’ hostel, boys’ toilets, girls’ toilets with showers, solar power for basic electricity, and a borehole providing clean water. The school now serves 260 students. Our next goals include planting a fruit-producing permaculture garden, building a fully equipped science laboratory, and constructing two additional teachers’ houses.
