Our MISSION

Gillingham Street Angles are a small grassroots charity founded in 2018.

Our mission is helping the homeless, needy, and vulnerable people of all ages in the Medway towns. From our shop at 43 Skinner Street, Gillingham, We supply food parcels, including fresh food, between 9 am and 1 pm Monday and Saturday.

We also Supply clothes, bedding, and general household items.

We also provide facilities to wash and dry clothes including bedding to the street homeless.

We are taking on the citizen's advice bureau system advisors net to enable us to assist in with the people who attend our shop, who need advice or do not have internet access to deal with various issues, from job center applications to housing applications.

from our Warehouse/Administrative Centre at Unit A Jenkins Dale, Chatham, we store the food/goods for distribution.

Donations are processed here, we also have meeting facilities at our head office for interested parties with our volunteers.

We have an allotment at Hazelmere Drive, Gillingham, providing an environment for those not wishing to be public-facing, engaging with nature, and increasing self-worth, and a safe place for people not wanting to work front line, this also helps us to increase self-worth. And assist us in growing a sustainable food source for the meals we provide.

Our outreach teams are based in Gillingham and Chatham who will attend to the street homeless to assist.

What We Do!

On a daily basis, we are in contact with local authorities and other organisations such as the police, other charities, supermarkets, and local businesses.

We are part of the Medway emergency food project run by the Medway Council, this was set up during the first pandemic to help people of Medway, including children at half term, which is ongoing.

We are grateful to the many businesses and individuals who have contributed to our charity, enabling us to help so many at this time of real need.
